A large studio suitable for up to 20 people is available for art and craft work in Saint Michael’s. We are equipped for painting, casting, clay-work, decorated glass, mosaic … the list is limited only by your imagination.

Groups using our facilities often make specific donations to allows us to maintain our stock of consumables.

Most of the art work is taken home to parishes and schools. Some remains here, to adorn the Centre and the adjacent church.

In Saint Michael’s, we produce quick end-products for young people to take home. Occasionally we work on more substantial pieces – sometimes with, and sometimes without professional help.

We try to offer easy access to interesting in-house activities to all our visitors. With this in mind, we keep a comprehensive supply of musical instruments in the Centre … keyboards, all sorts of percussion instruments, and guitars, along with amplification.

Music is used in our worship, and also as part of improvised or planned drama, and other forms of self expression.

Groups enjoy this type of creativity – developing or using already established skills, builds confidence, and helps us feel good about ourselves … and quite right too!

Don’t think that you always have to have a profound reason for doing things. If you want to make music just for the sheer fun of it, or to make noise, or to let off steam – go for it … only remember that we have neighbours!

We have five-a-side football, volleyball, and table tennis areas in the grounds. We are happy to be located in an area where a variety of sports is accessible locally.  Local businesses offer pony trekking, climbing and abseiling, water sports, and (in season) skiing. These companies have no commercial connection with St Michael’s, and are hired as independent providers. We will be very happy to help you make contact with them.
